OUR BIOBANK

HomeOUR BIOBANK

Biospecimen collection/ Biobank

We collect human biological samples (such as blood and tissue) and associated information for research purposes.

Biospecimens are collected from donors for patient monitoring, care, and research studies. They have helped many medical advances such as those for cancer, heart disease, and AIDs.

Biospecimen Management includes the collection, processing, and storage of specimens such as blood, urine, and/or tissue.

What are biorepositories and why are they important? Biorepositories are “libraries” in which biospecimens are stored for clinical or research purposes. These biospecimens are frequently annotated with information such as demographic or clinical data about the patient from whom the biospecimen was removed.

EMINAT RESEARCH GROUP has a large selection of biospecimen in multiple therapeutical areas and diverse types of specimens like blood, urine, saliva, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid, and stools.

The goal of our Biobank is to provide samples for different types of studies. Many of the studies will aim to better understand how a person’s genes (DNA) may influence overall health and wellness. For example, some studies will focus on identifying genetic changes that might affect cancer risk.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

We provide a set of procedures intended to ensure that new sites adhere to a defined set of quality criteria or meet the requirements.

Quality control can be defined as “part of quality management focused on fulfilling quality requirements.” While quality assurance relates to how a process is performed or how a product is made, quality control is more the inspection aspect of quality management.

EMINAT RESEARCH GROUP’s team of professionals provides QA and QC services for different institutions and fellow Investigators with a Sponsor audit or an FDA inspection.

We also provide consulting services when an FDA 483 form or warning needs to be responded to accurately and effectively.
